Special Note: Seminar Parking

Parking on Saturday will be in the garage at 52 Oxford Street.Mention the Spring Framework seminar to the parking attendant. 

We encourage people staying at the Sheraton Commander to walk to the seminar. 

We encourage those who are able to please come on the T.

 The auto entrance to the 52 Oxford Street garage is on Oxford Street nearly across from Maxwell-Dworkin.  The pedestrian entrance to the garage is on Everett St.  The card from the garage is needed to get in through the pedestrian entrance.

On Sunday we will park on the street, where there will be plenty of parking available.

Seminar Location

The seminar will be held at Harvard University in the Maxwell Dworkin building, 33 Oxford St., Cambridge, MA 02138. Maxwell Dworkin is the home of the Computer Science department at Harvard University.

Travel to Harvard

Most Harvard locations are within a few minutes walk from the center of Harvard Square.

By T:

  • Take the Red line towards Alewife
  • Get out at the Harvard Square stop After exiting the subway station, you will be just outside Harvard Yard near the Johnston Gate
  • Follow the walking path, shown on the campus map, to the Maxwell Dworkin building

BY CAR

Due to heavy construction in and around Harvard Square please allow an extra 15-20 minutes of travel time.

  • From either Soldier's Field Road or Memorial Drive, take J.F. Kennedy Street through Harvard Square
  • Cross Mt. Auburn Street
  • At the next light, bear (slightly) right. This is Massachusetts Avenue and the Out of Town newsstand will be on your right
  • Stay in the right lane and then bear right onto Cambridge Street (you will go under a bridge)
  • Take your first left onto Quincy Street
  • Take your first left onto Kirkland Street
  • You will see the Maxwell Dworkin building on your left beginning with Gordon McKay Laboratory, Pierce Hall, and finally Maxwell Dworkin at 33 Oxford Street

From the West (I90 - Massachussetts Turnpike):

Take Exit 18 (Cambridge/Allston). Bear right after the toll booth at the end of the exit ramp. At the third set of lights (over the bridge), turn left onto Memorial Drive. After the second set of lights, turn right onto JFK Street. Go through two sets of lights. At the third set of lights, thurn left onto Brattle Street (Cardullo's is straight ahead), then bear right at the crosswalk (Eastern Mountain Sports is straight ahead), which is a continuation of Brattle Street. Radcliffe Yard will be on your right after you pass the Graduate Schoool of Education on your right and the American Repertory Theatre on your lift. The Admissions Office is located within Radcliff Yard.

Harvard University Parking Services -- VISITOR PARKING

All campus visitors must purchase and display a valid daily permit. The weekday daily visitor's rate is $9.00. The cost for visitor's permits valid after 5:00 p.m. weekdays, and all day Saturday and Sunday, is $5.00 per permit. See Parking Services for details on available parking locations.

Temporary Permit Purchase
Temporary and daily parking permits must be obtained on behalf of all department guests and visitors to the University. Temporary parking permits may be purchased directly from the Parking office, or on our One-Day Online Permit Purchasing System. To access this system, use One-Day Online Permit.

FROM LOGAN AIRPORT

By subway (the "T"): Take the SILVER Line to South Station. Switch to the RED LINE outbound (toward ALEWIFE), go six stops and get off at HARVARD. Tokens cost $1.25.

By taxi: The ride to Harvard Square takes about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Typically, the ride from Logan Airport to Harvard Square costs about $35-$40.

FROM SOUTH STATION (BUS/TRAIN STATION)

By subway: Take the RED LINE toward ALEWIFE from South Station six stops to HARVARD SQUARE.
